第一，要學會包容和接納老人家。在戲中，網上時裝店公司聘用了七十歲的老人作為實習生。在年輕人眼中可能會覺得老人家很囉嗦和麻煩。但，戲中的舉動向大家證明了「活到老，學到老」。老人家即使退了休，仍然有魄力去工作，去體驗，去學習，而不是老了就沒有用。
1. ACCEPT THE ELDERLY. In 'The Intern', the online fashion company has hired the 70 year-old senior citizen to be the Intern. Young people may think the elderly cause trouble a lot. But, this movie proves us we are wrong about that. The elderly LIVE TO OLD TO LEARN. They are not that troublesome. They got more life experience than young people. Even if the elderly retire, they still have the ability to work, to experience and to learn. So, we got to accept the elderly.
第二，要學會為自己作最恰當的決策。你值得擁有夢想，因此不要因為別人而放棄自己的夢想或者熱愛的工作。女主角因為婚姻出現問題而想放棄辛苦建立的事業，從而勉救面臨破裂的婚姻。幸好得到男主角的提醒，女主角才為自己作最恰當的決策，選擇了她熱愛的事業。
2. MAKE THE BEST DECISION FOR YOURSELF. You deserve to have your own dream, so don't let others to give up what you are passionate about or the job you love. In this movie, the female leading role, Jules wants to give up her dream job in order to save her marriage. Luckily, the male leading role, Ben reminds Jules not to give up her dream and business. And therefore, she makes her best decision.
第三，要學會尊重人才。有些人有著高學歷或者優秀的才能但不備重用；有些人學歷不高成就不多難以記得他們的名字；有些人為工作默默付出但沒有人懂得欣賞。我們需要尊重和欣賞每個人，因為每個人都有著不一樣的能力。我們不能夠忽視身邊有能之士，而是好好善用人才，令每個人在他們的工作崗位上發光發熱。
3. RESPECT PEOPLE WITH TALENT. Some got high academic performance or special talent but not being respected, some do not have excellent performance on both academic and job so no one remember their names, and some work really hard but no one appreciate what they have done. We all need to respect everyone because everyone have different abilities. We cannot ignore people with talent. We need to let them shine bright on what they are passionate.
